We are a group of student involved with student government at a prominent US business school. The main method of internal circulation at our school is a set of 4-story escalators, which are constantly clogged, and impassable when students are in a hurry to class. For fun, we're implementing a "Stand Right, Walk Left" campaign to encourage the type of etiquette held dear by, for example, Metro transit riders in DC, to improve circulation between classes...and to undertake a ridiculous social experiment. Ultimately, the goal is that those that aren't in a rush, or that are simply taking their time, would stand to the right of the escalator stairs, so that those in a rush could advance up and down the escalators to the right - like a passing lane.
We want to have fun with this campaign, but we want it to be highly legible, and in turn, successful, at change the escalator-riding habits of our fellow students.
