Whistler Accommodation by Owner - http://www.ResortAc.com
Our website caters to a wide range of travelers, but they all have a common interest... Whistler Resort BC Canada, which is a destination ski, golf, hiking, and biking mecca.
We are a small, home-based business and I am the sole owner/operator. Our early websites were hand coded by me, but our current website is a collaboration between myself and my trusty programmer who is highly trained Microsoft guy.
Although I have hacked through some graphics projects myself, I am by no means a trained graphic designer. My goal is to take the end result of this contest and place the new graphics on our website myself.
I'm a FireWorks guy and can't deal with Photoshop file format. Our website is on Windows server, written in ASP and .NET.
Primarily 35-55 year old travelers who seek out private rental homes when they travel to mountain resorts. Over 50% are skiers or snowboarders. Remainder are shopping for vacation rental homes for their golf, biking, hiking, or active holiday in the mountains.
Some are Internet savvy, but many are middle-aged and new to booking rental accommodation online; consequently, they need large buttons with big print. They do not have instinct to know what common Icons are for and are easily confused by cluttered websites.
Customers come primarily from the US, Canada, and the UK. Most are English speaking travelers.
Graphic makeover of buttons, header, and website 'skin' on http://www.ResortAc.com to provide a more modern look and feel. Buttons must be large and include text.
To view current buttons, look at these ones on the right side of the page at http://www.ResortAc.com: Remember Page, Email this Page, Search Now, View All Homes.
Looking for modern look and feel that integrates nicely with other graphics that are currently on our website. I've seen some nice looking buttons recently that have 3-D feel with a light sheen on them. Not sure if that fits with the look of our site, but it's one idea.
Color scheme must work with current palette so that I can add new buttons to website immediately, then integrate other graphics as time permits.
Original files in FireWorks format so that I can edit or create additional buttons as needed.
