We are a software company specialized on developing iPhone apps. Especially in the field of mobile maps and tour guides.
iPhone and iPod touch users pretty much everbody. Preferred audience however are people travelling a lot to different cities. Or user which need an offline map in theire home town (iPod touch users).
We need a new main icon for our "City Maps 2Go" iPhone app. See our website to see the current icon (http://www.ulmon.com) and logos of other apps.
What we like about the current icon:
- the map
- something symbolizing 2go (in this case the coffee cup)
What we don't like:
- it is not shinny enough
- it looks blurry on the small screen
What does the app do:
City Maps 2 Go is a perfect application for tourists on city trips and locals who need an offline-available, quick and cost-effective map on their iPhone and iPod Touch. City Maps 2 Go is not limited to one city. Pay just once for the application and you will download maps for a constantly growing number of cities at no additional charges.
iPhone logos have a mask auto-applied by the OS to generate the “gloss” and rounded-rectangle effect. This is an optional thing; we can disable it if it gets in the way of the design, but the rounded-rectangle is a requirement.
The icon needs to look good at 512x512 and 57x57. The former is displayed in the iTunes store, and the latter is displayed on the home screen.
