What's your vision?
We need a new set of icons designed for our flagship Windows application. The design will consist of 8 icons, which use a common theme colour and treatment, but might have a little picture in the lower right of the icon indicating the specific details of the program. The 8 Icons are: Argus Watchdog - This application makes sure that all of our other applications are running properly and restarts them if there is an issue. Currently this is signified by an eye. Argus Graph - Out graphing application Argus Scheduler - Runs all scheduled instances of backup and routine applications Argus Backup - Runs periodic backups of our customers relevant data. Argus Session Manager Database - The first entry into our application. This application maintains all connection information for various systems. Argus GUI - Our frontend light client application for viewing a control system Argus Session Shortcut - A shortcut created on the users desktop that connects directly to a control system. Argus Operator Program - The actual control program for our hardware. We need each icon to have various resolutions available .
My current idea is that we have a set of icons that have everything in common except the contents of the lower right quadrant, which will contain a picture representing the specific use of the icon (Watchdog, scheduler, etc). View www.arguscontrols.com to learn about the company. Our company colour is the green used in the word ARGUS on the attached logo file. This colour should be prevalent on the design. ---- One idea I like is to have the base logo look like one of our control panels: http://www.arguscontrols.com/images/argus_panel_small.jpg The panel is square and white in colour with the green Argus logo on the top. The bottom then may contain a picture representing the specific purpose of the icon. ----
