Kris did a fantastic job, getting very easily what I was looking for. I showed great creativity in proposing lots of different options and alternatives and I end up with a fabulous logo.
Thanks a lot Kris for your patience and kindness all along the process.

We are a start-up medical marijuana dispensary and cultivation facility in Texas. At first, we will target individuals and professionals involved with the medical marijuana industry in Texas - our brand, Arete Holistics, will be designed for that avenue. In a few years, we hope that marijuana is legal for recreational use in Texas - that brand will simply be known as Arete.
What industry do you think your business is most related to?
What colors do you want to see in your design?

We would like for the Arete Holistics (our medical marijuana product) logo and branding to be easily transitioned to "Arete" (our recreational product) over time with only minor changes in the logo and branding to reflect the differences in the two products. The focus now should be on Arete Holistics, however, but please keep in mind that we want a brand that can easily be modified for the different varieties of our products. We chose the name, Arete, because of its Greek meaning, "excellence".... we will have a variety of slogans incorporating the word, "excellence" (e.g. "Excellence in Health, Excellence in Life"...or something along these lines), but we don't need to incorporate "excellence" into the logo. This is just for your reference. I've seen many marijuana business-related logos that incorporate a version of the marijuana leaf - I'm not opposed to that, and I suspect that we'll consider those designs heavily. But I'd like to see some unique ideas that will set us apart from competitors while still staying true to our product (medical marijuana).
