What's your vision?
Book Title: Losing Dad, Finding Father Subtitle: Discovering the Most Profound Relationship in the Universe Author: David L. Ellis Need to include somewhere: A True Story Update 5/9/16: Removing this requirement- Need to include: Book One of the Finding Father Series Size: 6x9 This book is a true story. I want to incorporate a feeling of cold to warm, isolation to inclusion, by using colors to indicate transformation. But also want to imply a sense of struggle and that things continue to be in a state of growth and change. I want to have the cover retain a clean look. I am open to all ideas of how to portray this, but my company logo incorporates the aspen leaf, so open to using that, though not necessary. I do not want any literal interpretations of this title. Pictures of father and child, or a man looking for his father are going the wrong direction. I want to capture the emotion of loss, but more importantly, the emotion of re-discovery of hope, without falling into the typical religious-looking book cover. I like bold colors to convey emotion, in either the background or font. I am ok with using pictures of a man, but only in an artist or stylistic manner (so out of focus, partial face, silhouettes, or shot from behind might work).
This book falls slightly into the religious category but I do NOT want any typically lame religious cover ideas. It needs to convey something edgy and relevant. A book that a guy might actually pick up. Put some ideas on the feel of the cover I am looking for in attached files.
Every design category has flexible pricing for all budgets. Book cover starts at NOK 2,599.
Full copyright with production-ready files for digital and/or print.
