How triciaspeaks started their book cover journey
Who are you known as?
What industry do you think your business is most related to?
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
We encourage and train Christian women to communicate the evidences for their Christian faith and answer questions about the rationality of Christianity, especially with other women, friends, and their children, if they have them. The name LifeGivers apologetics trades on the notion that women are designed as natural lifegivers and nurturers who bear life both physically and spiritually by participating with God in their naturally designed giftedness. Like men apologists they draw from evidences from the fields of logic, history, philosophy and science. But women tend to share about their faith in relationship. The book may also be read by women who are searching for answers to objections they have to Christianity's truth claims.
What inspires you and how do you envision the design for your business?
I would like the cover to convey the idea of a thinking woman who who cares enough to answer someone's questions about her Christian faith.
1) The idea of a woman's open hand offering something is one option, but I do not want a spiritualist interpretation such as light emanating from the hand. Perhaps her hand open toward other hands of differing ages and ethnicities, representing children, friends, etc.
2) Another option I saw, I think on VistaPrint for a banner graphic was a picture kind of from above, sort of sepia colored, and zoomed in a soft focus of a woman's face (I think, hard to tell). Her hand was on her chin as though she were pondering.
The idea is that the woman is offering the gift of life to others by answering questions they may have about Christianity.
