Dead Ends and Damnation. The Charon Contract book 1
Christopher K Fielder
Christopher K Fielder was born during the first half of his lifetime to parents who were once children themselves. He spent his early years playing with action figures before moving into the field of Cybersecurity. The world of cyber defense is lucrative career but involves very little magic. This led him to complete his first novel, Dead Ends and Damnation: the Charon Chronicles Book 1, in an attempt to earn enough to pay off the mercenaries holding his children ransom. He hopes that you’ll enjoy this book so he may one day see their sweet faces again.
This is a debut urban fantasy novel about an undead taxi driver who is forced to shuttle souls from the living realm to the afterlife. Things are routine until one unusual fare sets him on a race against the clock to find out why an unexpected innocent soul is destined for Hell. Back cover synopsis: Dying is the easy part, it’s all the shit that comes next that sucks. If you’re lucky you’ve earned yourself a one-way ticket on the express train to Paradise. Everyone else has bad news coming. Austin is part of that everyone else. For the last sixty years he’s been sentenced by purgatory to be a Charon for the afterlife. A ferryman assigned to shuttle souls across the great divide until he hopefully earns his way upstairs. Hell’s taxi driver, not the worst job in existence. So how did one simple fare lead to a mix up with a bounty hunting angel, swinging sixties satanists, a half-demon waitress, and a big ass explosion? No one said life was fair, why would death be any better?

Susan is amazing! I was such a high maintenance newbie with my first book and she was so kind and patient throughout the whole process. She not only absolutely nailed the cover I was looking for, she also educated me so much about all things book covers, spines, etc. Very much looking forward to working with her on my next book!
Along the way, they met lots of talented designers…
