We own several blogs in the Canadian Personal Finance niche. We've recently written a personal finance guide for Canadian students.

This is a 6x9 paperback and adherence to these submission requirements is critical. Title and subtitle must be on the front cover. Back cover material is attached. Resolution: 300 dpi Color Space: CMYK LPI (lines per inch): 180 Preferred file format: PDF PDF producer: Acrobat Distiller, PDF/X-1a:2001 recommended or High Quality Print setting Other accepted files: TIF (.tiff) tagged image file format; PS (.ps) postscript Accepted Application Files: Quark XPress or InDesign. all fonts and images must be embedded. (all supporting files included: fonts, images, art, etc.) Bleed: 1/8” (0.125”) all sides Type safety: 1/4” (0.25”) all sides Spine Type Safety: 1/16” (0.0625”) left/right sides Spine specifications are to be included at a later date (revisions to final copy are currently in progress). Both the front and back of the book are to be designed as well. The title of the book is: More Money for Beer and Textbooks The subtitle is: A Financial Guide for Today's Canadian Student This book includes an overview of financial concepts that concern Canadian post secondary students. We don't have any specific images in mind, other than our author picture (see attached) which should go on the back. The text for our author picture/bio and back cover is attached. We would like the following promotional blurb quote to go on the front cover as well please: "Failure to launch? Not if you read this book. It's full of good suggestions for young adults trying to get through college or university without being crushed by debt." -Rob Carrick, Globe and Mail personal finance columnist and author of How Not to Move Back in With Your Parents Some possible themes we would like to see incorporated into the overall designs are: 1) "Canadian" (maple leaf, Canada flag, beaver, loonie, map of Canada etc.) 2) Beer drinking 3) academics/university 4) personal finance/money So feel free to be creative within those guidelines and we'll direct your efforts more as we see some potential designs come in. -Also, please remember to include our publishing name: (Young and Thrifty Publications) on the spine at the lower end with the attached apple logo.
