As the book covers a controversial and mysterious subject, it's important that it feel professional, authoritative, hand crafted, integral, and not overly psychedelic. Paradoxically, the exciting and exotic nature of the contents must shine through; this is a book written by a hereditary shaman for a Western audience about a psychedelic Amazonian plant medicine and its ceremonial implementation.
Ideally I would like to cover to have a wrap around effect, some kind of continuity between the back and the front, though clarity and lucidity are higher priorities. Also ideally, there would be some inclusion of Shipibo icaro motifs (See google image search).
The image included is the cover used on the beta version of the book. The final product need not resemble it in any way, as the fonts are overly psychedelic. The background is an icaro textile, which could be used in the final product; I can send high res photos if you want to use it in your design.
back-cover.pdf is the text for the back cover. This may be slightly modified, so a psd version of the cover will be required (I'm assuming this is standard but bears mentioning).
For the spine, I'm uncertain if the title should be full (Ayahuasca: Mother of Rebirth) or shortened to AMoR/Amor (Love in Spanish and Portuguese). I leave this to your artistic expression :)
