Anna is a Baylor University graduate, holding a Bachelor of the Arts. She majored in Professional Writing and minored in Poetry. This is her seventh poetry collection. Her previous collections are available on Anna’s website and in select Colorado bookstores. In her spare time, she enjoys watercolor painting, nature walks, and her Miniature Australian Shepherd, Honey.
At least we have violets when someone doesn’t love us well. But what if someone does love you well & gifts you a bouquet? What if the bouquet slips through your fingers & blows away? Then, what remains but Longing? This collection of poems follows the speaker through an unconventional romance, transitioning through true love, betrayal, and reconciliation. With Longing as the foundation of the renewed relationship, the speaker must embrace the yearning for closeness to her lover, knowing that getting too close has proven dangerous. She fights between her soul’s desire and everyone else’s if-I-were-you’s, facing the pain of missing him and the judgment of others. But her choice to befriend Longing leads to incredible, unexpected joy.
Women of all ages, probably more around 15-35
Book cover type
I am looking for a cover that coordinates well with Fujifilm photos/disposable photos and features roses. I want the book to fit the market design for poetry books but also want it to feature red roses. While I want it to coordinate with disposable film, I do not want it to look like a prose book cover, as some photo-centric photos often do.
What to avoid
